Dr. Watts holds a PhD in Counseling, a Master's Degree in Psychology, and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Dr. Watts began working as a Counselor in 1993 in Virginia and has held many positions over the past 33 years providing mental health, substance abuse and career counseling to adults, children, and families in diverse settings including group homes, community agencies, non-profit organizations, and private practice in the states of Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. Dr. Watts is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), a Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (C-DBT), a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional CCTP), and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP).

Dr. Watts has been a Counselor in Vance County, North Carolina, since 2008 and had a private practice in the downtown area of Henderson until 2020.

Dr. Watts graduated from Halifax County High School in 1985 and currently resides in South Boston, Virginia, with a private practice located at 523 Yancey Ave. (street between Post Office and Barlow's Tire).

Dr. Watts is an Adjunct University Faculty Member and provides supervision for college students pursuing careers in Counseling.
